Government of the Virgin Islands careers

Across St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John, the Government of the Virgin Islands delivers the services a state government would, through territorial departments. Its Department of Health shows what the operation looks like: it functions as both the state regulatory agency and the territorial public health agency, with responsibilities set by Titles 3 and 19 of the Virgin Islands Code, an office on each of the three islands, three health care facilities of its own, and 34 activity centers under four divisions. Public service here means island-based work for a U.S. territory rather than a state.
