As a Human Resources Assistant, you will perform a variety of administrative duties using various types of software and/or HR-related systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, HR Connect, e-Time, eOPF, NFC, etc.). Maintain the Electronic Official Personnel Folders (EOPFs) for agency employees and process a variety of personnel actions. This position is located in Office of Management, Human Capital, Talent Acquisition, Washington, DC.
- As a Human Resources Assistant, you will: Prepare, review and code a variety of personnel actions and related documents for final review and signature and input into an automated personnel system. Input and validate a variety of position description and organizational information from various HR databases and reports; perform consistency reviews to assure accuracy of the data; and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Verify employment records of new employees and coordinate and conduct the new employee orientation process. Process related personnel forms, ensure confidentiality of various files and the maintenance of appropriate records. Process appropriate clearance forms when employees separate from the OCC. Counsel employees on requirements for applying for vacancies and exercising benefits options. Develop and maintain administrative manuals and technical tracking systems to document work flows, operating processes and procedures to ensure consistency in the delivery of human resource management services; track human resources actions and activities related to assigned units in general. Independently gather, compile, and organize statistical data and information in the preparation of special reports requested by managers in Talent Acquisition. Prepare a wide range of reports, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the data.
