As a Human Resources Specialist (Staffing) in the Office of Management, Human Capital, Talent Acquisition, you will provide advice to all levels of management related to merit promotion, recruitment, retention, staffing and placement.
- As a Human Resources Specialist (Staffing), you will: Serve as an expert consultant and technical advisor to management and ensure the needs of the serviced organization are identified and met. Identify staffing and recruitment needs and advise key operating officials on the most effective means of filling staffing needs. Create and edit templates and modify vacancy position information and create vacancy questions using an automated staffing system. Make applicant qualification and eligibility determinations. Generate reports, manage vacancies and generate referral certificates. Administer certification activities under OPM's delegated examining authority. Coordinate and communicate employee selections, negotiate starting salaries, and take all necessary actions to bring new hires on board. Review and sign personnel actions as the approving official after ensuring personnel actions are in compliance with OPM, Treasury and OCC policies and regulations.
