This position is located in the Deputy to the Chairman & Chief Operating Officer's Organization, Office of Human Resources of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of classification, position management, and/or compensation program administration. - Conducts the full range of position classification services for all pay plans; including composing evaluations, conducting desk audits, and analyzing position descriptions using OPM classification standards, OHR policies / practices, and position management principles. Provides expert classification and position management advice, guidance and assistance on Federal and Corporate regulations, policies, practices and procedures; reviews and analyzes questions, issues and problems from a position management and position classification perspective; and provides appropriate advice and recommendations, including alternatives. Participates in organization reviews and proposed reorganizations; provides recommendations on classification and position management implications. Serves as a point-of-contact in conducting the compensation program ensuring reviews, results, calculations and other activity are accurate and adhere to applicable policies and procedures. Interprets and applies FDIC compensation policies, pay-setting rules, allowances, incentives, and pay flexibilities. Provides authoritative guidance to managers and HR staff on compensation processes, procedures, policies and any pay flexibilities. Conducts pay analyses such as internal equity reviews, benchmarking, and scenario modeling to support compensation decisions. Provides consultative support to executives, managers, HR staff, and employees in resolving classification or compensation matters. Utilizes automated HR systems to update, maintain, and retrieve classification or compensation data; prepares reports as needed.
