This position is within the Office of Human Resources. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out the full range of position management, position classification, and recruitment and placement functions for the National Nuclear Security Administration. • As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Independently manage a position's lifecycle, from initial organizational design and classification to sourcing, assessing, hiring, and onboarding candidates for SES, SL, ST, Competitive Service, and Excepted Service positions. Provide expert consultation and authoritative guidance to executives, managers, supervisors, and employees by interpreting and applying federal Human Resources laws, regulations, policies, and Department of Energy guidance affecting multiple human resources functional areas. Develop recommendations on federal human resources matters involving position management, classification, recruitment and placement, and compensation to management officials. Conduct studies, evaluations, and special projects related to position management, classification, staffing, and compensation.
