Cargill has posted jobs with us since 2018.
Cargill's own at-a-glance page counts more than 155,000 colleagues, and it says 55% of them are frontline employees, which says where the bulk of the work sits. The company started in 1865 with a single grain warehouse and the promise that “our word is our bond,” and it still describes itself as a family company. That first warehouse has become roughly 1,000 locations in 70 countries, selling into 125 markets.
Cargill groups the business into three enterprises. Food covers meat and poultry, food and beverage ingredients, and salt. Agriculture & Trading connects growers and buyers of grains and oilseeds through sourcing, processing, and distribution, and runs the trading and risk management side. The Specialized Portfolio holds animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial products, beauty ingredients, deicing, and joint ventures. Behind the products sit 1,600-plus brands and 200 research and development sites staffed by about 1,200 scientists and innovators, so a plant floor, a trading desk, and a lab are equally plausible places to land here.
An HR function here covers a workforce that is majority frontline, so hourly plant and logistics crews sit alongside traders, scientists, and corporate staff in 70 countries.
