Discover has belonged to Capital One since May 18, 2025, when the merger closed and Discover Bank folded into Capital One's bank. The deal carried over four payment networks that Capital One's annual report now groups as its Global Payment Network: the Discover Network, which processes and settles transactions on cards issued on it; PULSE, an electronic funds transfer network giving debit issuers ATM access domestically and internationally; Diners Club International, a licensee network of banks issuing charge cards; and Network Partners. Personal loans came across with them.
