Hawai`i State Judiciary careers

Hawaii runs a unified state court system, which means every court answers to a single administrative head, the Chief Justice of the state Supreme Court. One of them is an Environmental Court, with civil and criminal jurisdiction over matters involving water, forests, streams, beaches, air, mountains, and terrestrial and marine life. Two more sit statewide: Land Court, which handles applications to register title to land, and Tax Appeal Court, for disputes over property, excise, liquor, tobacco, income, and insurance taxes. Daily operations run out of the Office of the Administrative Director of the Courts.
