About the Position: This position is located at the Mark Center Building in Alexandria, VA. The Mark Center is the location of a number of other DoW agencies. This position is part of the Human Resources Division, in the Human Capital Management Branch. The incumbent will report to the Human Capital Management Branch Chief and is responsible for workforce planning, strategic planning, analysis, and performance assessment for a variety of DoWEA Human Resources (HR) programs.
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- Develop and integrate the HR strategic plans and programs needed to enhance recruitment, retention, and development of the workforce.
- Provide expert advice in the solution of complex HR talent sourcing and workforce planning problems.
- Analyze and interpret data from various automated reporting systems to evaluate DoWEA workforce conditions and develop strategies to address HR issues.
- Find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed.
