This position is located in the Senior Executive Management Office (SEMO), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Washington Headquarters Services. HRD provides the full range of military and civilian personnel management support and services to the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) and several Department of War (DoW) Agencies and Field Activities (DAFAs.)

• Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Ensure full compliance with merit system principles and regulatory requirements for Senior Executive Service (SES) and Senior Level (SL) staffing, recruitment, classification, and placement actions. Serve as a human resources specialist with responsibility for providing the full range of human resources servicing, advice and guidance to senior-level executive and management officials, SES members, Presidential appointees, and Schedule Cs on all aspects of career and non-career senior executive and political appointee personnel programs. Advisory, technical, and operational responsibilities include, but are not limited to, such functional areas as: executive allocation management; position classification; recruitment, staffing and placement; and salary and compensation administration.
