The Supervisory Training Specialist serves as an advisor to Center for Animal Welfare (CAW) leadership for the planning, development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of enterprise-wide adult education, workforce development, and technical training programs supporting the Animal Welfare Act (AWA), Horse Protection Act (HPA), and related animal welfare authorities.
- The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising subordinates more than 25% of the time including, but not limited to, recruitment, selecting, appraising, rewarding, and addressing performance problems.
- Provides leadership and oversight for a comprehensive adult technical training program that supports the professional development, technical competency, compliance capability, and mission readiness.
- Serves as a recognized authority in adult learning, workforce development, and technical regulatory education.
- Establishes long-range strategic plans for training, workforce development priorities, organizational learning initiatives, and operational objectives supporting Agency mission accomplishment.
